Carl Butcher Part 2

This is the second of the Carl Butcher "movies".

I like some parts of this better than the first one, but it was already getting hard to do. The inability of Flash to properly sync the music with the animation was really annoying me by this point. The other problem was of course the file size and the load time. I wish I had a nickel for everyone that wrote me to tell me how long it takes to load. Dialup and web animation do not mix.

Carl gains his trademark Black Turtleneck in this episode and Carl's Mack Bolan comment refers to the long running book series - The Executioner.

The three figures at the table in the Old Town Cafe are the main characters from AESOP. An action figure story line by Tod Pleasant and Dave Pisani, that appeared in Action Figure News. Rumors are that AESOP will return in another format.

The "To be continued, Same Time, Same Channel" tag that slides in just before the credits, is lifted straight from the first season of Lost in Space. Many people associate this with Batman, but Lost in Space preceded the caped crusader to the small screen by about five months. Lost in Space creator Irwin Allen borrowed the idea from old movie serials and I of course took it from Irwin.

Deering productions had become an official entity by this time and the black and white camera logo makes its first appearance in the credits. That logo is also by Daryl Williams.

There is another Carl Butcher animation, it was a teaser to introduce the character. I'll post that next.

'til dialup is banned and everyone has cheap broadband access to the internet

Keep the Adventure Alive,
