Despite the brain dead program directors directing country radio nowadays, the Dixie Chicks sold 525,829 copies of "Taking the Long Way" in it's first week of release, entering the Billboard Charts at Number One.
That's number one on the Big Chart, aka as The Billboard 200, which lists the 200 best selling cd's each week.
For those keeping score, this nearly doubles the sales of Toby Keith's recent CD.
On the digital charts, the single "Not Ready to Make Nice" remains at number one on the Country charts and just out of the top ten on the all inclusive chart.
The digital single Not Ready to Make Nice has recently surpassed the gold and platinum sales points. Not Ready to Make Nice joins Goodbye Earl and Landslide as one of three Chicks singles to reach gold certification.
