Surrender the Titans

I'm watching the Dolphins game today and I keep thinking, "It looks like they're playing the Chargers." I love the retro uniforms, but somehow I expected the Jets to wear the Namath era uniforms.

I couldn't figure these out. Then I saw the cheerleaders and it dawned on me. These are of course the New York Titans from the Dawn of the AFL. That was cool, but the other cool thing was of course the cheerleaders. Unless I've missed it, no one else has had retro cheerleader uniforms, and compared to the modern "slivers of fabric" these were very different. Very high school.
