The Record of the Week this time is the first single from Joan Jett's Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth.
This is the second Joan Jett single cover of a Gary Glitter song, the first being Do You Wanna Touch Me.
I love this track and thought at the time it would receive significant airplay, but alas that was not to be. Despite a unique video, and the singalong anthemic nature of the tune, this song never really got much in the way of airplay at all and failed to gain much attention for the album. Joan is on record saying she didn't like the nursery rhyme theme of the video, but I think the whole thing is kind of fun, and not much more out there than Tom Petty's trip through the looking glass in "Don't Come Around Here No More".
