We had a great time at day one of the 31st HeroesCon. We saw lots of great art, fun Cosplay, and bought bunches of stuff.
Here are a few of our favorite things from day one.
I loved the Charlotte Hornets, and they are the only sports team I've followed where I made the commitment to buy season tickets. I couldn't be more excited that they are coming home.
I was thrilled to see this print from Rob Ullman. I've been fan of Rob's pinup art for a few years and he really nailed this one.
Now, I just have to figure out how to hang it in my office.

For the first time HeroesCon had star cars. Very cool.
They had the BTTF Delorean, a Mystery Machine, Ghostbusters Ecto 1, and a Batmobile.
Three of the cars allowed you to take pictures for a donation to charity. Those three cars were easily accessible and in plain view. The Batmobile folks blocked their car from view and just charged you $10 to take a picture. Holy lame idea Batman.
We saw a lot of favorite artists, and many of them will be featured here tomorrow. One of the artists we were most impressed with Friday was Andy Price. Lots of people know Andy for his work on My Little Pony, but his portfolio of prints was much more than Ponies, and it is really awesome, and fun. You definitely should check him out.
We also happen to know Andy Price is a Monkees fan and that makes him double cool.
'til Day 2
