I realized a few days ago that I've never actually stated the purpose of this blog. Why is it here? Why do I bother?
The short answer is I love pop culture and over the course of my life I've amassed quite a collection of it. A few years ago I thought it would be fun to share all of that "stuff". What you'll find here are pictures or scans of things that are stored away in the back corner of the attic. Most of those pictures are things I like, and most of this is junk I own.
There are a lot of records here, because I love music, and I'm a huge fan of the single. To me the seven-inch 45 is pop music in its purest form. I was very sad to see it go away and I'm thrilled to see it come back, even if it's only a shadow of what it used to be.
In addition to music I have a pretty broad interest in toys from the sixties and seventies. That interest led me to the creation of a company called Adventure Gear that manufactured 1/6 scale backpacking gear for GIJoe. That project landed me in Outside Magazine and USA Today, led to the creation of a GI Joe snowboarder action figure with Burton Snowboards, and even got me a gig with Hasbro itself. I'm even on the back of a GIJoe box as a Pharaoh. It's been a long and strange road indeed.

My interests are very diverse. They include things such as Disney, Irwin Allen TV Shows, animation, backpacking, Geocaching, Star Wars, The Three Investigators, horror, and comics. There's no telling what you'll see here.
Pop culture stuff. Clockwise starting at top. Agent Zero Secret Agent, The Chipmunks, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Dollyrots, Kim Possible, Phineas and Ferb, The Monkees, Dejah Thoris, Josie and the Pussycats.
I'll try to post on a regular basis, though sometimes real life gets in the way. I may even write more stuff, kind of like this.
'til the next post
Keep the Adventure Alive,
