I can't think of a better transition Record of the Week to take us from Thanksgiving to Christmas than The Bangles "Hazy Shade of Winter".
Released as a single, the song was originally from the film Less Than Zero.
This great cover of a Paul Simon tune isn't exactly a Christmas song, but it is a great record to welcome the cold and nippy breeze of the holiday season.
A nice surprise is the inclusion of the Joan Jett track "She Lost You" on the B-Side. At the time this was the only place to get that song, but in 1993 it was included on the Joan Jett compilation CD, Flashback.
