Each year at HeroesCon we have a list of artists to visit, along with a checklist of items we want to add to our growing collection.
This year we had our eyes on the Charlotte Hornets print from Rob Ullman, Sara Richard's Eisner nominated book, Kitty and Dino, some of Mike Maihack's Supergirl and Batgirl, and a Supergirl from Amanda Conner.
Yep, we were succesful in our quest, now we just need more walls to hang things on!
Rob Ullman of Atom Bom Bikini. I love Rob's pinup style - cute, sexy and classy.
Mike Maihack - He should have a Supergirl and Batgirl book. DC, this needs to happen! His Cleopatra in Space comes out next year by Scholastic. Look for it and buy it.
Sara Richard - not only is she an amazing artist, but she sings in a Pat Benatar tribute band. How cool is that?
Amanda Conner - We discovered Amanada during her awesome run on Power Girl. I was blown away by how nice she is in person. If you ever get a chance at a con to meet her, stop by and talk, you won't regret it.
I got some really great stuff this year and as always I love talking to the artists. That's the best part of HeroesCon and no other comics con even comes close in that respect. Looking forward to 2014.
'til Sara Richard sings in our town
