We go back to the Wilson sisters for another Record of the Week.
This song is Nancy Wilson's spotlight. The thing I remember most about this tour was seeing Nancy standing alone at the front of the stage, minus her guitar, while she sings this song.
It's not that she didn't do an amazing job, she did, but seeing her in a role other than axe wielding guitar goddess seemed very odd at the time. It certainly didn't hurt the performance of this single which zoomed straight to number one and remains one of Heart's biggest hits.
The most interesting thing about this picture sleeve is the prominent placement of producer Ron Nevison's name.
Okay, maybe not the most interesting thing. Apparently the "art" guy at the record company was assigned the job of creating this picture sleeve. What he created was one of the worst hack jobs I've ever seen. Seriously, a bunch of chopped off heads, and oh yeah, let's throw in Nancy's cleavage.
Heart - These Dreams
Heart - These Dreams - Picture Sleeve - Four cut and paste heads and Nancy Wilson's cleavage
Heart - These Dreams - 45
Heart - Shell Shock
'til she straps the guitar back on
