Can't We Talk It Over in Bed is a should've-been hit from Olivia Newton John, but somehow it never made much of an impact. Instead, it was covered by some guy that nobody remembers and he had a hit with it.

Well it's over. The only non-animated television show I've actually made a point of watching in over two years. I'm not really sure why, but Rock the Cradle was like an addiction.
Your parents will love Crosby, that's why you should love Chloe.

In the end white bread and milk won out, and Crosby Loggins took home the prize. I'm sure everyone that thinks Daughtry rocks will be lining up to get Crosby's CD.
As for the rest of us I would much rather have seen Lara, Lucy, Jesse, or Chloe take the prize. Each was unique enough that they probably have a career anyway.
Lara truly has the voice. I hope someone signs her.
Jesse Snider probably out rocks his dad. Plus, anyone that writes comics for Marvel and DC is tops in my book.
Joe Walsh is the only cool thing about the Eagles. It's tough being the child of a star. But it's got to be better if your dad is one of the good ones. Lucy has the attitude to make it.
Unique just doesn't do Chloe justice. Pop music needs Chloe to twist things up a bit. If I hear Bubbly one more time I'm gonna scream.
I admit it, I'm addicted to MTV's Rock the Cradle, and I haven't watched MTV in a looong time.
In case you missed it this is an American Idol type show featuring kids of music stars. We have the children of Kenny Loggins, Olivia Newton John, Eddie Money, Tom Johnston (Doobie Brothers), MC Hammer, Al B Sure, Bobby Brown, Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) and Joe Walsh.

Unlike Idol's contestants, these kids are actually interesting. I think the show pushes them more, and because of it they stretch the boundaries a bit. In the case of Chloe Lattanzi (Olivia's daughter) she pushes the boundaries beyond breaking.
Some of them might have become stars regardless, but this show either pushes them closer, or farther away, depending on your opinion.
The judges include Belinda (GoGo's) Carlisle and a bunch of people I've never heard of. Still, the judges are diverse and interesting for the most part. And unlike Idol, on this show the voice is only a piece of the puzzle. These kids need the whole package, which is a trait that I like about the show.
Yes, sometimes it's a train wreck, but it is hard to take your eyes off of the derailed cars.
A few comments about the competitors:
Chloe Lattanzi - Interesting because she is SO dark which is about as far from her mom as you can get. If you like scary she's your girl. No chance to win, but someone will sign her. She's too unique to get overlooked. Check out Chloe's MySpacedemos. I like them.
Lara Johnston- Killer voice and incredibly cute. I think the cute thing hurts her because they keep looking past the voice and telling her she has no rock star stage presence. Reminds me of a comment from Pat Benatar when she talked about how she had to be taught how to be a rocker back in the days when she was working with Harry Chapin. Lara needs to call Pat, a lesson would do her a world of good. This lack of presence will probably keep her from winning, which is too bad, because she will probably make a great record someday. Jesse Money- Knocked off way too early. Rather than have to sit through the painful performances of Lil B or Baby Brown we should have had a couple of more weeks of Jesse. Too bad. And to think she might be the true rocker of all the female contestants. Jesse on Myspace.
Lucy Walsh - Can you say cocky? A rock star needs to be cocky but she just rubs me the wrong way. Oddly enough her best performance was a pretty straightforward piano ballad. Strangely, they didn't knock her lack of stage presence on that one. Lucy on Myspace.
Jesse Blaze Snider - The kid's a genuine rock star, probably better than his dad. Win or lose he's going to make some noise, and a record. Prior to the show Jesse landed some writing work with Marvel Comics. Cool stuff. Rock and comics are a great mix. Jesse on Myspace.
Crosby Loggins - He has talent, but he's just been middle of the road as a performer thus far. He picked it up in episode four so that might change. If he does change my opinion I'll get back to ya. Crosby on Myspace.
Lil B Sure and Landon Brown - Can't sing at all. Should've both been cut week one. Just painful to watch. Landon and Lil B on Myspace.
A'Keiba Hammer - Great voice, but gave us nothing in the way of personality to hook the audience. Who is she? Who knows? I ran into MC Hammer in a Taco Bell once. Nice guy. Talked to everyone that approached him. Appeared to have no ego. Good quality if you are a performer. A'Keiba on Myspace.
