A while back I started taking note of musicians that wore Ramones t-shirts.

I still wonder, do they wear them because they are Ramones fans?
Do they wear them because the shirt looks cool?
Do they wear them because it gives them credibility?

I'm sure the answer differs depending on who it is.

Of course Mutt Lange, who has played such a significant part in Shania's career, is probably a Ramones fan, so this isn't that odd.

Ramones Spotting Part 1

I get a kick out of spotting Ramones T-Shirts, especially when they seem out of place.

Despite their notoriety and critical acclaim, the guys never sold a lot of records or had a lot of commercial success. It's good to see they are alive and well in some form.

This is an interesting one. I never pictured many country artists as Ramones fans.

Riff Randall Loves Joey Ramone

Thanks to Gnumoon's post on rock videos, I remembered this great slice of Ramones history:

This is my favorite scene from Rock and Roll High School, PJ Soles fantasizing about Joey Ramone, then stepping into the shower while Dee Dee plays bass under the stream of water.

You have to see the movie to really get the video with the smitten Riff Randle fantasizing over her heroes. It's just so anti everything the band seemed to represent , and it works. Don't believe me? Take a look at the typical Ramones video full of freaks and geeks and completely lacking any cute cheerleader types fawning over them. The Ramones just weren't sex symbols.

Joey Ramone a sex symbol? Yep, for three minutes in this film he is.
